I'm a Michigan based photographer as well as a proud wife and mother. After having grown up a little bit all over the country, I am thrilled to call Michigan's Upper Peninsula my home sweet home. I knew, at 16, I wanted to be a photographer. I worked and assisted at many great studios, went to Brooks Institute of Photography to study lighting and in 2004 I opened my own business. I had been doing primarily weddings (okay exclusively weddings) until winter 2009/2010. After finding out I was expecting it seemed like everyone I knew was pregnant too. It was then my passion opened up to a whole new world of excitement {newborns}. In the winter I started  photographing children and newborns using the beautiful natural window light in our home. Absolutely perfect for these long cold winters in the Upper Peninsula. Eh?

Ever since the beginning (in High School) I grasped the concept of seeing light and interpreting it into photographs using a camera. I love to teach and inspire- this fall I will feature advice and help to other photographers aspiring to fine tune their craft. It is my pleasure to pass on this gift and inspire others. I feel I have this gift and it is mine to share.
